The single-family house “Glincz”, situated in Pomerania, stands as a compelling example of the increasing popularity of timber construction in Poland. Initially, the client considered a traditional brick structure but ultimately chose innovative wood-based material cross laminated timber (CLT) due to comparable overall costs and a significantly shorter construction time, enabled by the capabilities of prefabrication. To maintain the natural character of the sustainable building material, the client selected non-visual quality, leaving the timber in its most authentic state.
The timber elements - 50 m³ of cross-laminated timber - was manufactured by the HASSLACHER Group at their site in Stall (NORITEC).
