The first deliveries for the major project of a pedestrian and cyclist bridge in Tynec/Czech Republic took place at the beginning of March 2015. The structure, designed as a suspension bridge, has an impressive total length of 130 m with a maximum span of 65 m. Some 100 m³ of glue laminated timber in strength classes GL24h and GL32h were produced for it. Due to the high level of prefabrication – completely finger-jointed, steel parts already preassembled in the factory in Hermagor, around 2,800 m2 of glue laminated timber already painted at the factory – it was possible to hand over the suspension bridge for its intended purpose at the end of April 2015, after a construction period of only 2 months.
