appoints Dr. Günter Gigacher as new CTO

Sachsenburg, July 2025 – The HASSLACHER group announces that Günter Gigacher has assumed the position of Chief Technical Officer (CTO) as of July 2025. This strategic decision strengthens the leadership team of the internationally active timber industry company, underscoring its commitment to innovation and growth.

Günter Gigacher brings more than 20 years of industrial experience in executive roles, including positions as board member, managing director, and plant manager. A native of Carinthia, he joined the company at the end of March 2025 as CTO and will henceforth take overall responsibility for production and technology within the HASSLACHER group. Additionally, he will be responsible for driving innovation, digitalization, and process organization.

Dr. Gigacher holds a master’s degree in business administration, a doctorate in mining sciences, and a diploma in metallurgy, iron and steel production, and energy management. The Carinthia native lives in Ferlach, is 49 years old and the father of two children.
