The Volunteer Fire Department in Carinthia is much more than just an emergency response unit. It also plays a vital role in fostering community, friendship, and camaraderie, significantly shaping local social life. Whether in times of crisis - such as fires, storms, or accidents - or during festive gatherings like fire department celebrations, it brings together people, generations, and communities.

Following the completion of the overall project, with an investment volume of €1.6 million, the Mühldorf Volunteer Fire Department will begin operating from its new headquarters in autumn 2025. In addition to structural improvements, the technical facilities will be modernized. The social and changing areas -especially for women and youth - will be significantly expanded. Furthermore, the space for vehicle parking and storage capacity will be increased. The focus is on optimizing operational procedures and creating modern, functional working conditions for the volunteer emergency personnel. Since its founding in 1894, the department has been an integral part of the community and will continue to play a key role in local life - true to its motto: “Honor to God, defense for our neighbor.”

The HASSLACHER group is proud to have contributed to this important project. The installation of the 500 m² gable roof was carried out by Holzbau HOFER - a company of the HASSLACHER group. The 15 m³ of solid structural timber and 10 m³ of glued laminated timber used in the construction were sourced from the HASSLACHER group’s sites in Preding (HASSLACHER PREDING Holzindustrie GmbH) and Sachsenburg (NORITEC Holzindustrie GmbH).
