The LISI house consists mainly of renewable raw materials and eco-friendly materials. Wood forms the starting point both for the construction and thermal insulation. All parts of the tree, from bark to heartwood, were used. The LISI house floats on 5 timber pontoons made of cross-laminated timber with a special coating. These pontoons together with a support grid system of glue laminated timber form a 200 m2 platform and have a total carrying capacity of more than 120 t.
