For the construction of the academic building of Murdoch University, HESS TIMBER, a company of the HASSLACHER Group, supplied the largest glulam beams by volume ever installed in Australia. The beams were manufactured from one piece and measure an impressive length of 26 m and a weight of 7,282 kilos. They are the essential foundation of the Boola Katitjin timber façade.

The Boola Katitjin building, which means ""much learning"", accommodates about 60% of Murdoch University's teaching requirements. It combines sustainable, modern design with innovative digital technology to offer students a unique experience.
