Based in Erlenbach, Germany, Hemmelrath Technologies, is a process innovator in paste production used in lacquer and paint manufacturing. Hemmelrath Technologies has developed the MoFa technology, in which the individual steps for lacquer production are combined and networked(processed?) in one plant. The technology is characterized by significant energy savings(please check!), in regards to raw material and time compared to conventional production processes and is also suitable for both large and small production volumes.

The new MoFa building "Modular Factory" has a total floor area of 2,820 m² and a gross volume of 22,300 m³. This paint factory is a step towards realizing the technology of modular manufacturing while respecting building requirements in a innovative solution The construction and material concept consistently uses the concept of resource-minimizing with sustainable building methods. The supporting structures and wall formations of the halls were were fabricatied from timber materials. HASSLACHER cross laminated timber elements were used for the walls and ceilings of the office building. For the warehouse, HASSLACHER glulam was used for the roof structure and also for the walls. The production hall is a pure timber construction, in which glulam was also used for the supporting structure and cross laminated timber for the walls and roof.

The highly prefabricated and visible-quality glulam products were produced at the HASSLACHER Group's sites in Stall im Mölltal and Kleinheubach and delivered to Erlenbach am Main for Hemmelrath Technologies.
