Tested Fire Protection Solution Improves the Fire Performance of Timber Surfaces and Meets High Fire Safety Requirements
Modern timber construction continues to gain importance worldwide. At the same time, fire protection requirements in many construction projects are becoming increasingly demanding. The HASSLACHER Fire Protection System provides a comprehensively tested solution that further enhances the fire performance of timber surfaces and opens up additional application possibilities for timber construction products.
A Tested Solution for Enhanced Requirements
The HASSLACHER Fire Protection System has been selected and tested for applications where enhanced fire performance requirements for timber surfaces must be met. Extensive testing confirmed the effectiveness of the system. As a result, the fire classification of timber surfaces according to EN 13501-1 can be improved to B-s1, d0.
The naturally low charring rates of timber and the resulting calculated fire resistance performance remain completely unaffected. The mechanical properties of timber as a construction material also remain unchanged.
“The use of timber in modern construction continues to grow steadily. At the same time, the requirements regarding fire performance are increasing. The HASSLACHER Fire Protection System provides a high-performance and comprehensively tested solution that combines demanding fire performance requirements with the benefits of timber as a sustainable building material.”
